DESCRIPTION:

Capitalizing on the the United States's Exoskeletons for Human Performance Augmentation (EHPA) program, the Iron Mech uses M.A.R.S.*-enhanced schematics stolen from the G.I. Joe Defense Mech.  The Iron Mech is meant to be an extension of the pilot's own body and, like the EPHA program, "increase the speed, strength, and endurance of soldiers in combat environments."  The inclusion of exoskeleton technology into the Iron Grenadiers' land-based operations has increased the capabilities of ground-based Iron Grenadier soldiers and radically altered the current military doctrine for engaging them.  The Iron Mech technology extends the mission payload and range of each Iron Grenadier and increases their lethality and survivability for short-range missions and special operations.  Currently, there are only 750 confirmed Iron Mechs deployed with various Iron Grenadier divisions world-wide.
