DESCRIPTION:

Completely self-sustaining so that Cobra can observe and communicate enemy movements from any remote, semi-level surface, the Surveillance Port has been utilized by various Cobra infantry since 1986.  Cobra Surveillance Ports utilizes a modular design to be easily broken down, transported, reassembled, upgraded, and repaired by troopers with minimal training.  Training the various Vipers to operate a Surveillance Port was easily accommodated in a three-day course that covered assembly, disassembly, maintenance, and operation.

While the Surveillance Port has the advantage of compartmentalization, the modern Cobra military is more likely to deploy the more robust Ringneck for surveillance operations.  Since the Surveillance Port requires separate transportation and assembly, Cobra only implements these stations to areas that the Ringneck can not access.
