Far and away one of the huge draws of Paratrooper Duke is simply the large number of accessories he comes with. Even though they are all re-used and drawn from other figures, they manage to fit in here and are all fantastic looking weapons.

Without a doubt, the most interesting accessory addition is this modified harness system, which combines Tunnel Rat's awesome webgear with the version 1 Duke's terrific thigh-mounted Switchfire holsters. These holsters can easily hold either pistol Duke comes with, his tomahawk, knife, or whatever else you can come up with. A great, great addition to the figure. There are also two slotted notches now attached to the shoulders so the parachute can hook in there as well, and that function works very well, to boot.

Tunnel Rat's MP5 is here, and I couldn't be happier, as this is one of my favorite weapons in the entire line and it serves the Commando purpose perfectly. The strap also allows this weapon to be attached to the figure's chest which works well when jumping from a plane (or Dragonhawk).

Other Tunnel Rat gear includes four of his grenades and his awesome pistol. I absolutely love all of these weapons, and I'm excited to see them included in this set.

Duke also comes with both Spirit's "split" Tomahawk and his terrific looking bowie knife. Alongside Spirit's great knife you see the removable bayonet for the Switchfire. And speaking of the Switchfire...

Metallic blue in color, the Switchfire remains one of my favorite weapons, I simply love the customizability and the way it looks altogether. I love seeing it here, and this new color is very striking.

Of course, the helmet is present here as well, done in some more elaborate and better colors than the Jet Wing version. I love this helmet in general, its use makes perfect sense here and the blue/black color pallet is awesome as well.

Last, but definitely no least is the parachute itself. This thing is huge, durable, and work perfectly. Following the instructions, Duke floats effortlessly as he should. The attachment slides interact well with the harness, the ropes are thick and straight, and the presentation itself is fantastic. A great parachute, but even without it this figure would be very cool, Duke repaint and all.

Is it worth $30.00 to everyone? Probably not. But that doesn't mean it's not a terrific toy. It's really a whole lot of fun, and I'm very glad to have it, even with the higher Toys "R" Us price tag. Anyone who is determined to buy this, even at $30.00, will NOT regret it.
