Snake Eyes carries along the Tactical Ops line has Duke did with larger accessories that are fewer in number. Where Duke came with one big huge gun, Snake Eyes comes with an elaborate helicopter pack and not much else. Thankfully, the helicopter pack and included body armor is cool enough to make up for it. Still, it would have been nice to see some other items included.

Obviously the copter pack (hoverpack, according to the filecard) is the primary accessory here. It's a large, well-detailed backpack that fits on the figure surprisingly well considering it's size and weight. I found myself very pleasently surprised with how well it actually stays on the figure.

The shape of the blades themselves are nicely swept and extremely detailed in the sculpting. Each blade can fold in and the mount can fold down against the backpack as well. The large press-button lever can be easily activated to make the blades spin no matter which position they're in.

Another little side effect is a little door on the bottom of the pack that unfolds to reveal two small canister bombs that can be dropped from the air as well.

Along with the copter pack, the figure comes with a silvery gray armored suit with attached goggles. I love the tall, thick collar, the layered armor plating and the angular shoulder pads. Those are all very cool touches and make this look like a nice protective suit. The visor has a very unique design that looks very cool. It's very unlike your typical Snake Eyes look, but it works remarkably well as some sort of interface for flying the helicopter pack.

It's nice in a way, because you can put this armor on pretty much anyone, because it's really not a Snake Eyes type piece of equipment, so it's very versatile that way. There are two rubberized pegs on the front of the armor, and two on the back, and the copter pack hooks seamlessly into all four of them to keep it very securely mounted to the body armor. It ends up working really nicely, though the rubber nature of the pegs does make it a bit tricky to hook the proper junction points together. Once you get it attached, however, it works very well.

A pair of familiar tonfa swords comes with this version of Snake Eyes as well. I love these swords, though I have a bunch of them already. There's nothing real new or different about these, to be honest. I am happy to see at least one sheath included here, though I would have loved two of them.

And then we have.... this. What exactly is this? According to the file card it's the "RB2" system Rotar Barrel Retractor Blade with rotating barrel and retractable blade. Besides being an exercise in total redundancy I'm not sure of the exact point of this weapon. It's pretty much a gun-knife, which is a gun that extends a knife. The barrel on the rear of the weapon can rotate freely. Not sure how that ties into the weapon itself, but it's there.

This particular weapon is an exercise in confusion as it seems to have too many functions, yet no functions all at the same time. The design is ugly, it's purpose is unknown, and I'm just not really sure how it fits with a toyline that seems to pride itself on fantastic, interesting weapon design.

Regardless of the "RB2" monstrosity, the rest of the gear here is pretty fun. Retread tonfa swords are a little on the bleh side, but the armor and helicopter pack all make for some very cool mini-vehicle gear, and I love how it all looks. It doesn't really seem to fit Snake Eyes in the least, but it's some great gear to have regardless. I may end up having Hi-Tech try it out.
