Side Winder takes his code name from the small rattlesnake (Crotalus cerastes) of the southwest United States and Mexico that moves by a distinctive lateral looping motion of its body and has two hornlike scaly projections above its eyes. A side winder is also a powerful swinging punch delivered from the side. Side Winder likes to think that he can be as dangerous as
all aspects of his code name.
Side Winder's specialty is being part of the Dare-To-Die Corps.
Originally, the Dare-to-Die Corps was an anti-Japanese armed force of the
people which developed under the leadership and influence of the Chinese
Communist Party in the early days of the War of Resistance Against Japan.
With Side Winder, being apart of the "Dare-To-Die Corps" of the X-Troop just
means he gets to take on all the high-risk operations he likes and get paid
for it.
