DESCRIPTION:

D.E.M.O.N.s are expected to spearhead long range mechanized attacks to neutralize enemy strong points, as well as to capture and hold landing zones for airborne insertions of Annihilators, Iron Anvils, and T.A.R.G.A.T.s.  Since the design priorities for the D.E.M.O.N. key on speed, range, and offensive firepower, much was sacrificed in the area of crew protection, comfort, and safety.

Unlike other Iron Grenadier vehicles, Destro's Despoiler can dock with the D.E.M.O.N.'s missile systems and take command.  This gives Destro a mobile command platform from which to lead in combat.

In the 1991 Brazilian Iron Grenadier deployments, Ferrets were not included for the D.E.M.O.N. tanks.  This is why Brazilian-deployed Iron Grenadier "Terrork" regulars were designated D.E.M.O.N. vehicle operators for the region and equipped with wrist-mounted computerized controls to operate D.E.M.O.N.s remotely.
