Major Bludd is a total mercenary that received initial military training in the Australian Special Air Service, but left to join the French Foreign Legion. He then worked as a military advisor in a number of hostile countries where he committed criminal acts against peaceful governments. Wanted on three continents just on general principles, he is considered one of the world's most dangerous fugitives. Major Bludd is considered to have a tactical mind like a steel trap. He is also proficient with every form of infantry weapon currently in use and adept with plastic explosives, long-range sniper rifles, garrotes, blunt instruments, poisoned ice picks, Saturday Night Specials, and anything with nasty spikes sticking out of it.
Having joined in 1983, only Destro rivals Major Bludd's longevity with Cobra, Cobra Commander, and Cobra Commander's private war with the United States. Major Bludd has served internationally as a military leader under Cobra's banner, notably in China (1994), India (1992 to 1993, and again in 2002), and the United States. It is presumed that in 2003, Major Bludd was assigned to the Python Patrol and given a battlefield commander's role. It has been
at least confirmed that he was assigned to the Python Patrol.

intelligence gatherings: In 2006, Cobra Commander deemed it time to strike deep into the heart of the Joe team and eliminate one of its most beloved leaders. To ensure he had the best mercenaries for this job, he turned the contract into a twisted competition by paying only the team or individual who fulfilled the objective–remove the specified Joe leader permanently. Major Bludd and his
Skull Squad, known for their unorthodox tactics in getting the job done,
were one of the teams that answered this call.
