DESCRIPTION:

The Paralyzer was one of Cobra's many variations on the philosophy that a vehicle should deploy, strike, and retreat.  While the H.I.S.S., with its many variations, has been the most prolific design Cobra has deployed, the Paralyzer did have its niche during its service time.

The Paralyzer borrowed heavily from other Cobra designs, which could mean that the Paralyzer was designed "in house" rather than contracted through MARS as so many other Cobra vehicle designs were.  The Paralyzer had advanced tracked tread technology and dual 360° field of fire cannons like the H.I.S.S., maintained a low profile like the Rage, and had an ease of entry like the STUN.  However, the Paralyzer also had limited, unique stealth capabilities unlike Cobra's other non-Pythonized combat vehicles.  With its sound-dampened cannon muzzles and missiles designed specifically to disrupt communications, the Paralyzer had the capacity to strike and cut off its target from reinforcements.

The Paralyzer design has not resurfaced since 1993 and is presumed to be no longer manufactured.
